This is a monogrammed high-end suitcase from the late 1800's to early 1900's. It has an Austrian locking system and a similar bag was featured on tn the Antiques Roadshow in 2010. This bag is starting to show some cracking in the leather but overall is in prettygood condition for it's age. This came from an estate. The bag is locked and I do not have the key. I do believe it is empty. Please review all of the photos to confirm condition.
The piece on Antiques Roadshow appraised in 2010 for $3,000-$3,500. It has the same locking mechanisms that mine has and I am sure it is from the same manufacturer, but is a different material, mine isn't in as good of condition and they have a key. I am being realistic when I priced this. I am sure a locksmith could make a new key.
